There’s a new watchface on the Rebble App Store!

VANTAGE is an analogue watchface designed specifically for the Pebble Time 2. Clean, calm, and made for everyday use. The look is deliberately classic, with a deep Midnight Green style inspired by traditional watches and instruments.

The dial is intentionally reduced and easy to read. Nothing flashes, nothing distracts. VANTAGE also shows the current moon phase, subtly integrated as a small detail rather than a gimmick.

In daily use, VANTAGE is designed to handle system overlays such as notifications in a sensible way, aiming to keep the watch readable whenever something appears on screen. Final fine tuning on real hardware is still pending, but the overall behaviour and layout are well thought out.

A quick shake of the wrist reveals the battery level. Only when you need it, without permanently cluttering the dial.

VANTAGE is being released to the store before it has been tested on real hardware. Once the watch is on my own wrist, version 1.0 will be refined and adjusted to real world use.

Trying this out on my alpha CT2. Feels super classy! I do wish I could turn up the contrast on the hour hand some.

Hm, I think I’ve run into a bug- my watch is now suddenly displaying a black background without the 3–hour marks or outline, and my minute hand has changed color as well. I don’t believe I changed anything on my end, the watchface is still version 1.1. Here’s a screenshot of the behavior:

Is this a night mode not mentioned on the store page?

I´m sorry, yes it´s the Nightmode.
From 10pm till 6am.
So it´s not a bug, it´s a feature.

Oh! Night mode is a cool feature indeed! I was surprised, because I didn’t know it would change colors. I do miss the marks at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock… maybe they could come back, in a dark grey, during night mode?

Let’s see if the marker looks good enough in gray. Maybe we should also remove the moon phase in night mode.
