Hi, do you see in the phone companion app any logs under ‘Debug history?’ I’m currently debuggin some rare cases where the notifications are not detected. Please also try with the latest 0.0.13 version of the watchapp and companion app.

Please share your debug logs if you experience missing notifications with any of these apps or other navigation apps.
Also the mobile app has also been updated to encourage including street names in debug logs, as troubleshooting is very difficult without them. The option to share fully anonymized logs is still available, and these logs are also valuable for improving the app.

Public transit support: Train rides in Google Maps now show on your watch, with a new train glyph in all three glyph packs, the number of stops remaining, your station and your arrival time.
New in the companion app (update it to get these):
Walking directions: walking routes now show every step, including the last stretch to your destination.
Lane guidance: “Use the left lane…” instructions now show as keep left/right arrows instead of the previous step.
Steadier ETA: your arrival time stays on screen during turns instead of sisappearing.
Optional auto-launch: you can now turn off opening the watchapp automatically when navigation starts, handy with Android Auto or a car display. Thanks @ajlunis!
Update both the watchapp and the companion app (GitHub, F-Droid or Obtainium) for the full experience.

New: a live subtitle in your watch’s app list. During a route, PebbleNTN now shows a countdown and your arrival time under its name, e.g. “In 0:24 · ETA 13:24”. It keeps counting down while the app is closed, so you can check your arrival without opening it. Otherwise it shows “Navigate on phone” as a reminder of how to start. (Not on the original Pebble, Pebble Steel and Pebble 2, which don’t support app subtitles.)
Also improved with the latest phone app (update it from GitHub or F-Droid or Obtainium):
• The street line no longer repeats the distance (e.g. “70 m · Turn left” now shows “Turn left”).
• New languages: Italian for OsmAnd, plus Traditional Chinese for Google Maps, which works even if your phone itself is set to English.
• A redesigned phone app: setup checklist, watch connection status, easier rules and diagnostics.
• Found a bug or have an idea for a better app name? Use “Help shape PebbleNTN” in the phone app.

Watch Touch Support
- Pebble Time 2: the settings menus now work by touch. Swipe to scroll, tap a row to highlight it, tap again to open it, and swipe right to go back. Turn on touch navigation in the watch’s system settings to use it.
- Pebble Time 2: touch is switched off on the navigation screen, so a stray swipe can’t close the app mid-route.
Navigation apps
- Turn arrows now also appear for CoMaps, Organic Maps and Google Maps’ classic notification.
- OsmAnd: added German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish and Chinese. In German, the next road name and the remaining distance are now shown.
- Google Maps: added Portuguese and Polish, and the “arriving at destination” card is now shown.
- Google Maps walking: more steps are recognised, such as “Take the pedestrian crossing”.
- CoMaps and Organic Maps: the road name no longer repeats the distance.
- Navigation apps installed from GitHub, IzzyOnDroid, nightly builds or AppGallery are now detected.
- Long road names are trimmed cleanly, so they no longer cut off mid-character.
Phone app
- Shows when your own rules override the built-in ones and lets you revert just those.
Update the PebbleNTN phone app as well; most of these improvements come from it.

Watchapp:
- The turn arrow and the distance are now evenly spaced. Short distances like “80 m” no longer leave a wide gap between them, most noticeably on Pebble 2.
Navigation apps:
- Google Maps: when the turn can’t be read from the notification icon, the distance, road and arrival time are still shown, instead of a blank screen.
- The phone app no longer lists a navigation app as installed after you uninstall it.
Bug reports:
- Shared diagnostics now include the app versions and group repeated notifications, so one log covers a whole drive.
Update the PebbleNTN phone app as well; most of these improvements come from it.

New: Early-warning vibration. Get a buzz as your next turn comes within a distance you choose (10, 25, 50, 100 or 200 m). Choose a single warning per turn or a buzz on every update as you get closer. The warning has its own pattern and strength, so you can tell it apart from the new-instruction buzz. The vibration settings now sit together in one Vibration menu, under Settings → Vibration. Your current settings are kept.
Also improved with the latest companion app: motorway exits and merges, and public-transit boarding and get-off steps, in Google Maps.

- Update notice without an internet check: if the watchapp has auto-updated and is now newer than the phone app, the watch tells you a phone app update is available. You’ll see a one-time notice, a hint on the “No navigation detected” screen, and “Update: {version}” in the app list.
- Update from your own source: the phone app’s update card now opens the place you installed it from, whether F-Droid, Obtainium or GitHub. An “Other sources” button lets you pick another one. F-Droid users are told F-Droid may take about a day to offer a new version.
- Original Pebble app: with it, the phone app also notices a newer watchapp and shows the update card.

Also, the phone companion app now spots new versions offline by comparing the phone app with your watchapp. Checking GitHub remains optional, either by hand or weekly.
