I am increasingly confused by the situation between Repebble and Rebble. I don’t have a particular position on this, but I noticed a few things that are making me wonder about the future of these platforms.
First, there was already a duplicate developer site. Now, Repebble has changed its website and announced new products coming soon.
Additionally, there is a link to a different forum on the Repebble site.
Moreover, it looks like Repebble is planning to launch its own app store. I came across this link : Developer Sign In, where they offer to import apps from the other store.
Does this give the impression that a real separation is coming?
It’s not like Rebble has any plans to announce any products. We are much more focused on developer and user experience with the platform.
A pure coincidence we launched the forums at about the same time!

Rebble continues to fulfill its mission, even if it’s at odds with companies in the space. We fundamentally believe in how much this hardware and software has the means to empower developers to make the best things. It does make us sad that we were unable to find middle ground with Core Devices on services, but fundamentally we have to make sure to push for a better ecosystem for the people who make this platform their own!
