Painted & inked colours on Pebble 2 Replacement Buttons

I have been asked a few times what my translucent Pebble 2 buttons look like coloured in with ink or paint, especially just on the backs. I’ve also been asked a lot which colours I’ve used in the past (before I stopped selling the coloured versions of the buttons)

So, what colours do you want me to showcase first?

I have these to hand, which I’ve found to be quite close to the original pebble 2 colour options:

Paints (these are airbrush paints, but work fine with a brush):

  • Pro Acryl (Monument Hobbies)
    • Bright Yellow Green
    • Bold Pyrrole Red
    • Coal Black
    • Titanium White (not an original button colour, but close to the colour of the white cases)
  • Vallejo
    • Model Color Light Turquoise
    • Game Air Stonewall Grey
    • Game Air Orange Fire (not an original button colour)

Inks:

  • Sharpie Fine Point Permanent Markers
    • Black
    • Supersonic Yellow
    • Aqua
    • Racey Red
    • Celestial Grey

For me, I think the yellow buttons on the black Pebble is one of my favorite color pairs I’ve seen on a Pebble. But I’m a bit too colorblind to know if the Sharpie or the Yellow/Green acrylic is a better match.

The yellow buttons might make me more at peace with the failing buttons knowing what I’ll be graced with when the time comes.
