There’s a new watchface on the Rebble App Store!

A comic-book watchface inspired by the awesome Comic Drop but with the weather forecast I was missing there.

• current temperature + condition with a hand-drawn scene (clear / cloudy / rain / snow / storm / fog)
• next 4 hours and tomorrow’s min/max
• steps, heart rate and battery as comic caption chips
• configurable: 12/24h, °C/°F, forecast layout, heart-rate options, refresh interval
• Weather from Open-Meteo, no API key needed. Free & open source.

Weather & battery
Forecasts are cached on the watch (persistent storage) and phone (localStorage); the watch refreshes by forecast age instead of wall-clock modulo, and skips fetches entirely when cached data is fresh
New refresh intervals: 2 h and 3 h (default is now 60 min)
Fallback chain when a fetch fails: last known location → stale cache (up to 12 h) → 15-minute retry
New display options
Tomorrow panel is forecast-coloured: orange/red when hot (configurable 25–35 °C threshold), blue for rain, white for snow, grey for fog, yellow for nice, blue-grey for cloudy
Rain-chance fill: hourly icons flood blue from the bottom proportional to precipitation probability (can be turned off)
Panel divider colour: white, grey, or black gutters
12 h + AM/PM time format option
The steps / heart-rate / battery strip can now be hidden
Fixes
Base-layout and scene bitmaps now load on demand — full-screen PNG decodes need ~2× the bitmap size in free heap, which previously made runtime theme switches fail silently
Tomorrow temperatures use outlined text, readable on all panel themes
Switching °C/°F no longer resurrects old-unit temperatures from cache after a restart

Shake to reveal (configurable: off / details / details + graph)
Flick your wrist for two temporary pages that auto-hide after 8 seconds:

Details card — feels-like, wind speed + compass direction, humidity, 24h rain total (mm), sunrise/sunset, and a four-day forecast strip
24h graph — temperature curve, rain bars with an mm scale, hour ticks, and a wind strip
Display
Auto night theme: switch gutters to black or grey between sunset and sunrise (uses real sun times for your location)
Stale-forecast badge: when a scheduled refresh has been missed, the temperature turns grey and shows its age — no more guessing whether the data is fresh
Timeline Quick View: the face reflows cleanly under the system peek; time and current weather stay fully visible
Battery saving (all configurable)
Weather updates while you sleep: normal / reduced to every 4 hours / paused
Optional daily morning fetch (5:00–8:00) so the forecast is fresh when you wake up, even in paused mode
Sleep detection via Pebble Health, or fixed 23:00–07:00 hours for watches not worn at night
Optional relax of frequent heart-rate sampling during sleep (off by default)
Fixes
A clear tomorrow (WMO code 0) or an exact 0° min/max no longer falls back to today’s values
Future phone timestamps can no longer poison the boot cache; watch-clock steps backward no longer blank the forecast at boot
